Anglicanism

As Anglicans, our heritage is rooted in the ancient church, grounded in the Holy Scriptures and in such teachings of the ancient Fathers and Councils of the Church. In particular, such doctrine is to be found in the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer and the Ordinal.

Here you will find some invaluable resources on what it means to be Anglican, current information on the Global Church, as well as national and local resources to help better understand what it means to be Anglican.

The ADNE stands for the Anglican Diocese in New England.

Our diocese is one of the original members of the ACNA.  ADNE is a passionate and entrepreneurial family of churches, united in Word, Spirit, Sacrament, and Mission, committed to the REAWAKENING of New England.

ACNA Stands for Anglican Church in North America.

The ACNA province is a founding member of the GAFCON movement.  The mission of the ACNA is to build up and defend Great Commission Anglicanism throughout the world by developing leaders, equipping local congregations, and always reforming the Church.

GAFCON stands for Global Anglican Future Conference.

The GAFCON movement is a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. Our mission is to guard the unchanging, transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim Him to the world. We are founded on the Bible, bound together by the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration of 2008, and led by a Primates Council, which represents the majority of the world’s Anglicans.
